Happy 3rd Birthday!

I can't believe my baby boy turned 3. He had the best day, but got overexcited and overtired. He crashed hard at the end of his birthday and the day of his party. Scooby Doo was the major theme of everything. Daddy got P 'the creeper' and he now sleeps on P's pillow with him.

Not too much to report this week. MK got messy with a pumpkin cookie and P got interested in Daddy's Wii.

New Pics

September 16, 2007

Thanks for all the emails and comments. It is so good to hear from everyone and it will help keep me going to update our blog. Since I've been back to work, I often check the blog just so I can look at the pictures. I've decided that if I wait a few weeks, I can just keep adding new slide shows provided I remember to take pictures. P turns 3 this week and we are having a party for him at Darlin Dukie and Pop Pop's (my parents) house so we should get some good pictures there!

We have had a busy few weeks. K turned 30. P, MK and I went shopping for daddy's birthday and came home with a spiderman shirt and bubble gun for presents. K loved them all! We went out for dinner with some friends and family and truly appreciated all those who were able to come help us celebrate. We had lots of fun and there are many pictures of the dinner in the slide show. Some of us rode gokarts after and had fun racing and bumping. It was too dark and too fast to get any good pictures, but I tried.

P and MK start 'school'. This is their first experience with daycare since the sad passing of K's mom in June. We had been working on potty training with P in August and weren't sure if he was ready, but he is sucessfully potty trained at school and very proud of himself. It took a few days, but P loves school. He is very into Scooby Doo and has renamed all the kids at school Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy. He chases them all as jeepers creeper. So far it's all fun and games, but we will see if that continues.

MK had a more difficult time. She is our wild girl and we thought she would be the one to adjust more easily. We couldn't have been more wrong. She loved the first day...jumped out of my arms when we arrived and didn't even notice we were leaving. For many days after that though, she had teary days and was basically out of sorts. The worst moment ever was watching her little face pressed up against the window as we were driving away crying her eyes out and calling DaDa. She still cries when we leave, but thankfully she is doing much better now and has gotten used to the routine.

I guess that is it for now. I'll write again soon. Meg
